Special Issue Call for Papers:

Wireless communication is the fastest and efficient communication model, enabling us to connect across the globe anytime. Wireless technologies are improving day by day, proliferating at a substantial rate allowing people to communicate even from rural regions making their lives better. The existing 4G LTE network that we use today consumes high data and battery usages, which restricts users with limited Internet usage. The emerging 6G networks are expected to resolve these issues and revolutionize the globe with advanced systems for faster and effective communication in the next decade. The 6G wireless communication aims at integrating artificial intelligence and the Internet of space things for super-advanced space communication of unidentified aerial objects. The 6G communication systems will have the capacity to operate at terahertz supporting microsecond latency communication, which is 1000 times faster than a millisecond. The future of 6G is also expected to stretch its applications in the field of imaging, space technology, and ultra-speed sampling techniques, deep learning, and big data analytics. The more crucial factor to be looked upon is the data speed of 6G networks. With its terahertz frequency bands, they can provide a five times faster rate than 5G networks, which will change the future of data transfer and storage.

Though 6G networks are designed with advanced communication techniques to fulfill the future needs of users, they still tend to have few obstacles that need to be rectified before they arrive at the market. For 6G systems to enter into reality, the terahertz spectrum should be connected to fiber optic transmission cables for long-distance communication. It is not easy to achieve communication efficiency worldwide with just the terahertz speed; they will also need to be integrated with spatial multiplexing systems to ensure throughputs. Besides, ensuring efficiency is too tricky without MIMO antennas to segregate multiple signals in a single path. Some of the well-known research institutions are also working on combating these challenges with plasmonic nanophotonics to couple receiver antennas of the 6G networks with the optic fibers, which are yet to be successful. Along with this, 6G has the capability to offer endogenous security and is expected to meet the high demands of communication coverage in the near future. Experts believe 6G networks can travel from the physical world to the virtual world, advancing the next generation’s communication systems. High-performance computing is the critical factor of every communication network, yet the advancements of 6G networks have managed to provide efficient computation capabilities with HPC and quantum computing. Machine to machine communication and contactless exchange of data will become possible with the rise of 6G’s high-frequency bandwidth and speed. Mobile gadgets will be integrated with super speed and efficient applications with error-free end to end latency. This special issue interprets the importance and need of 6G networks for the future wireless communication systems, which will revolutionize the entire communication medium with advanced security and efficiency. This special issue is expected to spur further research and development efforts in the 6G communication and networking technologies and to provide a unique opportunity to allow researchers from different domains to collaborate in research and share new research findings. A thorough review process will be employed to ensure the quality of the special issue. The topics of interest for the special issue:
