Special Issue Call for Papers:
Aim and Scope
The development of technologies in cloud computing, Internet of Things, big data processing, and 5G enables service providers to efficiently and effectively process diverse and massive data and in turn provide users with more diversified and personalized services. However, in the process of data collection, a large number of private data such as a user’s identity, a user’s location at different times, and even a user’s personal medical information is often required. Therefore, more and more people are concerned about the issue of the disclosure of their personal data. In order to solve this problem, the privacy-preserving computing has become an important research hotspot. However, there is a contradiction between the utility of data and privacy preservation. How to address this contradiction and to make an effective compromise between the two aspects has been the primary concern of researchers from industries and academia. Various cryptographic technologies and security mechanisms have been introduced to provide feasible solutions.
This special issue focuses on the research challenges and issues in privacy-preserving computing. We invite submissions of technical papers that address, but are not limited to, the following topics:
– Privacy-preserving machine learning
– Privacy-preserving multimedia data processing
– Privacy-preserving social media and social network analytic
– Data privacy protection in crowdsourcing
– Privacy computing based on block chain
– Outsourced encrypted database
– Security and privacy in location-based services
– Privacy-preserving data aggregation in capability-constrained scenarios
– Privacy protection in distributed data mining
– Privacy in ubiquitous computing and mobile devices
– Secure computation in Internet of Things
– Security and privacy for big data processing
– Trust, security and privacy issues in edge data analytic
– Applied cryptography in privacy computing, such as differential privacy, homomorphic encryption, trusted computing
Paper Submission
Authors are encouraged to submit high-quality, original work that has neither appeared in, nor is under consideration by, other journals.
Springer offers authors, editors and reviewers of Peer-to-Peer Networking and Applications a web-enabled online manuscript submission and review system. Our online system offers authors the ability to track the review process of their manuscript. This online system offers easy and straightforward log-in and submission procedures, and supports a wide range of submission file formats. Manuscript should be submitted to: http://PPNA.edmgr.com.
