Special Issue Call for Papers:
Guest Editors: Lauren J. O’Donnell, Jonathan Polimeni, Marieke Schölvinck, Stephen Smith
The aim of this Special Issue is to describe the current state of the art in mapping the human brain’s structural and functional connectome in health and disease. Recent technological advances and ongoing large-scale brain mapping projects are improving our knowledge about the connectome. In this special issue, we plan to include papers describing recent advances in macro-scale connectomics, such as new multimodal brain mapping projects, the study of individualized connectomes and their cognitive correlates, the study of the connectome across the lifespan and in disease, advances in imaging acquisitions, and novel methods for data processing and analysis of structural and functional connectivity. The special issue will include both invited reviews and unsolicited contributions in the form of original articles, focusing on novel results in the field of connectomics.
Please contact the editors before submitting an unsolicited contribution. Inquiries, including questions about appropriate topics, may be sent electronically to Dr. Lauren J. O’Donnell odonnell@bwh.harvard.edu
Submission instructions
The NeuroImage’s submission system will be open for submissions to our Special Issue from 15 Sep 2020. When submitting your manuscript please select the article type “Connectome Advances”. Please submit your manuscript before 15 April 2021.
All submissions deemed suitable to be sent for peer review will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. Once your manuscript is accepted, it will go into production and will be simultaneously published in the current regular issue and pulled into the online Special Issue. Articles from this Special Issue will appear in different regular issues of the journal, though they will be clearly marked and branded as Special Issue articles.
