Curtin University is a public research university located in the suburb of Bentley in Perth, Australia. The university is known for having the largest student body in Western Australia and for being the country's first university of technology.

Curtin currently offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and research degrees in 10 study areas, which include architecture and construction, education, physical science and mathematics, and arts and creative industries. The university's programs in Mineral and Mining Engineering have also ranked highly in global rankings for subject areas. Aside from traditional on-campus courses, Curtin University offers online courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels along with bridging and enabling courses and micro online courses.

In addition to these, the university has campuses in the Australian cities of Kalgoorlie and Midland as well as in other countries such as Dubai, Malaysia, Singapore, and Mauritius.

The university is known for its research expertise in diverse fields of study, including astronomy and astrophysics, digital and emerging technology, health and medicine, and mining and minerals. It is also the only university in Western Australia to have one of its alumni awarded the Australian Institute of Nuclear Science and Engineering (AINSE) gold medal, the most prestigious recognition for Ph.D. research in Australia and New Zealand.
