Feng Chia University (FCU) is an esteemed private research academic institution whose aim is to become the top comprehensive university in Taiwan and Asia, as a whole. It was founded in 1980 when the Feng Chia College of Engineering and Business was granted university status. Since then, it has expanded to several colleges and schools. The university was named after one of Taiwan’s leaders who fought against the Japanese who invaded the island in 1895, Chiu Feng-Chia.

It is one of the leading academic organizations in the region when it comes to computer science and information systems. Additionally, the university consistently ranks among the best in Taiwan and around the world. Several surveys among Taiwan’s business executives even rank graduates from the university as some of the country's most sought-after professionals.
