The University of Hong Kong (HKU) is the oldest institution offering tertiary education in Hong Kong. This research university prizes innovation and interdisciplinarity. It is a founding member of Universitas 21, a consortium of research-led universities with 27 members in 18 different territories and countries.
Originally founded to be the English-speaking university for China, it ranks as the most internationalized university in the world today. Around half of HKU’s faculty are from overseas.
