Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg is a non-profit public higher education institution located in Magdeburg, Germany. Just established in 1993, it is one of the youngest universities in Germany that quickly made notable contributions in natural sciences, engineering, and medicine. The university also offers degree programs in management, economics, humanities, and social sciences.

Named after the physicist and Magdeburg mayor Magdeburg Otto von Guericke, the university plays an integral part in Magdeburg’s development as the region’s center for business, scholarship, and culture.
