Special Issue Call for Papers:

Today, with the increasing development of new diseases, it is required to develop new methods to diagnose these diseases and new medicines to cure them. Biological data\’s and biomarker discovery contributes to better understanding of proteins and molecules structures and behaviors, and diagnose and cure diseases to a large degree. The results of this special issue is applicable for medical institutions, medicine developing incorporations, and overall in curing diseases.

The primary goal of this special issue is to exchange the latest fundamental advances in the state of the computational biology and biocomputing in neurocomputing, biological big data, biomarker discovery and practice of pattern mining algorithms and related areas. We are interested not only in papers with strong algorithmic and modelling innovations, but also in works that have biological models, application-oriented experimental implementations and evaluations. Topics that will be considered for this special issue include, but are not limited to, the following:

Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

Computational Biomarker Discovery in Proteomics
Clinical Bioinformatics and Translational Medicine
Apply Pattern Mining Algorithms on Biological Problems
Mathematical Modelling in Neurocomputing
Big Data in Neurocomputing
Biomarkers in Clinical Drug Development
Methodologies for Genome-Wide Association Studies
High-Throughput Technologies in Neurocomputing
Supercomputing to Identify Biomarkers
Mathematical Methods for Diagnostic Classifiers
Biological Network Analysis
Network-Based and Pathway-Aware Biomarker Strategies

Authors are not restricted to these topics but submissions must provide relevant Computational Biology and/or BioComputing other related topic within the remit this special issue.

Authors should prepare their manuscript according to the Instructions for Authors available from the online submission page of the Neurocomputing Journal at All the papers will be peer-reviewed following the Neurocomputing reviewing procedures.
